Where do I begin! Our breastfeeding journey started off so rocky with a sleepy, jaundice baby who just wouldn’t latch. We had to supplement with formula in the hospital, and after a week being home, I was still an anxious mess when it came to breastfeeding. I didn’t want to give up, so I knew I needed help. We found Sterling through our pediatrician and booked an in-home visit. She was so kind, attentive, informative, and made me feel so comfortable. As a first time mom, I didn’t have a clue what I was doing, but that didn’t stop Sterling from meeting me where I was and giving me all the help I needed. My baby girl has tongue and lip ties so latching was difficult, but Sterling encouraged me to not give up and to keep trying to latch. Because of her encouragement, we kept trying, and one day things just clicked. If it weren’t for Sterling, I don’t know if our breastfeeding journey would have been successful!
